Showcasing at The Gallery Warlingham
Exhibit and sell your art and crafts in our dedicated Showcase area. We welcome all artists and crafters, you do not need to be professional just passionate!
Areas for hire and pricing
Main window (art and crafts)
£80, 2 weeks
Size 3m wide x 2.5m high x 50cm deep
Small window with glass shelves (crafts only)
£60, 4 weeks
Size 1m wide x 1.6m high, 5 glass shelves 36cm deep, space between shelves 28cm high
Main wall (art only)
£60, 4 weeks
Size 1.8m wide x 1.9m high
Small wall (one side) (art only)
£40, 4 weeks
Size 1.1m wide x 1.6m high
We take a 10% commission on any sales and we offer a discount if you require multiple spaces.
Booking
Please come in to The Gallery to discuss which space is best suited for your items and availability. We will only accept a booking if you have enough items to fill the space. All items will need to be previewed by The Gallery before your showcase starts, this can be in person or photos can be sent via email or WhatsApp. Renting a Showcase space means you agree to our terms and conditions. The Gallery Warlingham has insurance for items under our business policy, however we suggest artists provide their own.
Presentation
All items must be in a suitable condition for sale. We will not accept the following;
- Damaged frames / glass / mounts
- Dirty frames / glass / mounts
- Unfinished / untidy edges on canvases
- Art without hanging fixings
- Artwork not fitted into a frame / mount properly
- Crafts with sharp or broken parts
Things to check before your Showcase
- Please have clear prices for each item - black pen on small white card is best
- Are your prices suitable for your artwork / crafts
- Please give us an inventory list of all your items - A template can be found below
- Artist’s profile - Please send us your artists profile to info@thegallerywarlingham.co.uk An example can be seen below
- Transporting your items safely to and from us
- Do your crafts need any customer packaging eg, bag / box
- Are your items in a presentable condition
- Do you require easels, stands or props for display
- Business cards are useful but not necessary
Your Showcase
Showcases run Saturday to Saturday. Please bring your items to us the day before or at 10am on the morning of your showcase. Our team will display everything for you. Payment will be required when you drop off your items. After your Showcase, any sales made will be totalled and payment will be sent to you in the days following. We may refuse to put items on display if they do not meet the presentation standard as written above. The Gallery often posts photos of showcase artwork on our social media to promote it. Promoting your showcase before it starts will help attract more attention and hopefully more sales. We are happy for you to host an open event on the afternoon of your Showcase opening, please get in touch with us to discuss it further.
